JEEVAN

"Jeevan" was founded by Mr. A. K. Singh, a visionary and dedicated to wholeheartedly committed to the welfare and development of the Disabilities by providing the facility of disabled children school. The Center has been serving the Persons with Disabilities for well over 18 years. It is run by a highly motivated and dedicated group of workers who are determined to impart education as well as vocational skills to the speech impaired children so that they can develop self-confidence, earn a decent livelihood and become productive citizens. In order to help the needy and make him independent, we offer variety of services at Jeevan for disabled children. deaf and dumb school services, speech therapy school services, school for disabled children etc.

1. ABOUT THE ORGANISATION AND INSTITUTION

1.1 "JEEVAN" a voluntary organization which sprang from the abysmal agony experienced by A. K. Singh on having Retarded Children, in family members, made an informal and humble beginning in ts inception in 1992 with a meager strength of 7 children and 2 teachers has grown Exponentially and has completed Seventeen "serviceful" years to mentally Disabled children of this state.

1.2 The year 2008-09 is yet an other year of great services rendered by Qualified and experience staff reaching the best deserving Candidates.
1.3 "JEEVAN" continued all the project of previous year with addition of some new projects.

2. RUNNING PROJECT

A brief review of projects is given below :

2.1 JEEVAN EARLY INTERVENTION CENTRE (JEIC) :

"JEEVAN" is extending Assessment and Early Intervention services to the needy children from different parts of the state.

2.2 JEEVAN SPECIAL SCHOOL FOR MR (JSS) :

Jeevan Special School for MR is exclusively for the children (6 to 18 years) & above with mental retardation and multiple disabilities. The present strength is 65. They are from different parts of the state like Bihar, Jharkhand & Katras, Jharia, Govindpur & Dhanbad apart from District.

2.3 JEEVAN VOCATIONAL TRAINING CENTRE (JVTC) :

Jeevan is imparting vocational training in various trades for 35 trainees (Boys : 23 & Girls : 12).

2.4 JEEVAN SMARTH CBS (JSC) :

This scheme is sanctioned by the national Trust clubbing the earlier service of Respite and Residential Care Services with some changes in the norms. Jeevan is one of the few Centers sanctioned to Jharkhand mainly based on its earlier dedicated service with very good results.

2.5 JEEVAN TEACHER'S TRAINING AND RESEARCH CENTRE (JTTRC) :

What we do

Many bold steps has been taken to educate deaf and dumb children, and many milestone is yet to be put. Since 1991 we have been now became one of the best institute of such kind in Jharkhand.
